Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on a diverse fleet of construction and winter maintenance equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, and snow plows. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, and DEF emissions issues using computerized diagnostic tools. Complete component replacements for steering, suspension, brake, and drivetrain systems in both shop and field environments. Support seasonal snow and ice operations by maintaining plow equipment between November and March. Assist apprentices and junior technicians as required while maintaining accurate service documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
- Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Valid G Driver's License
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Diesel Engine Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Hydraulic Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Electrical Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Air Brake Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing DEF and Emissions Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Steering and Suspension Systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Computerized Diagnostic Systems
- Comfortable performing intermediate to advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on both on-road and off-road equipment
- Must be available for Day Shift (5:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Must be available for Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Must be available for Winter Season (60–65 Hours)
- Must be available for significant overtime
- Must be available to support snow removal operations between November and March
