Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive train on diesel and non-diesel equipment. Perform basic tire work including replacement, rotation, and tread checks. Execute line maintenance welding and fabrication while safely providing road service to return company equipment to operation. Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and complete applicable training programs under supervision. Work a regular shift in a stable industry supporting drivers on their routes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues
- Consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair
- Graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License

- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (T1-T8)
- Commercial Driver's License
