Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day equipment maintenance on the fleet, performing preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts. Manage tasks including trailer upkeep, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies, with welding duties depending on location. Handle AC and electrical systems while maintaining the ability to lift 50lbs. Own required tools and possess a Class A CDL. R+L Carriers, a family-owned transportation company founded in 1965, offers this full-time role in Rock Rapids, SD.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Must be able to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and Electrical
- Have the ability to lift 50lbs
- Must have own tools
- 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
