Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic I responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered equipment such as semi-tractors and trailers; perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, brake inspections and fluid checks; diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, suspension systems, and electrical components; conduct safety inspections and document repair findings; replace basic components like belts, hoses, batteries, lights, and brake components; use hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment; maintain a clean, safe shop; respond to road calls or minor field service repairs; follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards; accurately complete work orders and maintenance records using shop software; support senior technicians on larger repairs and rebuilds.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years diesel mechanic or fleet maintenance experience
