Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines on semi tractors, heavy-duty trucks, buses, and hydraulic systems. Perform drivability diagnostics using computer diagnostic systems to retrieve service information, while reading wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals. Repair tires, cooling, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, fuel injection, emissions, and interior components. Maintain accurate repair records, complete parts requisitions, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Assist with fueling, washing, and vacuuming vehicles to ensure a clean shop environment. Full-time schedule with competitive pay based on experience. Valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of personal automobile liability insurance required. Class C CDL and OBD I/OII diagnostics experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience in a shop environment
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment
- Ability to use computerized diagnostic systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and repair schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Own tools
- Minimum 3 years of shop experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Proof of personal automobile liability insurance
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to complete accurate repair documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Class C CDL
- Experience with OBD I and OBD II diagnostics
