Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and overhaul school buses and fleet vehicles per FMCSA guidelines. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge EV maintenance practices and technology. Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. Tune engines, align wheels, and maintain electrical systems to meet DOT standards. Replace worn parts, change filters, and perform oiling/greasing. Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure safety and performance. Conduct minor bodywork and repainting as needed. Track parts usage, manage inventory, and order supplies. Report safety concerns and corrective actions. Mentor junior technicians and assist where needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT safety standards
