Job Summary
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems, performing repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively, while working with schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components. Maintain accurate records of services and collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment needs. Requires a CDL, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in hydraulics and suspension systems. Starting hourly wage between $25.58 and $44.27 based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair, including brake repair, transmission work, and air brake systems
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation and maintenance, including hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform tire service duties as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on automotive diagnostics
- The ability to get a CDL or possess one already
