Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company-owned equipment, including major and minor fixes, road tests to diagnose problems, and alignment work. Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems, handle driveline and differential issues, and service suspension components like air ride and spring systems. Replace tires and rims, adjust bearings, and maintain cab accessories such as windows, mirrors, and HVAC. Diagnose and repair trailer body panels, landing gear, and coupling devices while adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Provide your own basic hand tools and toolbox. This role offers in-house training, a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, and a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor/trailer maintenance
- CMV PM/DOT Inspector Qualified
- CMV Air Brake Certified for Drum and Disc Brakes
- CMV 609 A/C Certified and Proficient in A/C System Diagnosis & Repair
- Forklift Certified
- Electrical & Electronic Systems
- Minor Tractor Engine System Work – Tractor Engine Work
- Diagnosis & Repair/Replacement
- Driveline and differential/rear end Tractor/trailer tire and rim
- Tractor 3 axle alignment
- Trailer tandem axle alignment
- Tractor/trailer wheel end Tractor/trailer wheel end
- Hub, bearing and race, bearing adjustment and wheel seal installation
- Cab power accessories + power and manual windows, mirrors, seats, HVAC, APU, ESPAR Diagnosis & repair
- Steer, drive and trailer spring, and air ride suspension
- Fifth wheel and pintle hook coupling devices
- Trailer door and accessory maintenance
- Trailer body panel repair
- Trailer landing gear diagnosis, repair & replacement
- Other duties as assigned
- Pre-Screen Drug Test
- Provide your own Basic Hand Tools and Toolbox
- Will be required to wear OSHA regulated safety equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- 1-2 years of diesel repair experience (preferred)
