Job Summary
Diesel & Hydraulics Mechanic role focused on servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of vehicles and equipment with emphasis on diesel engine and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities include routine maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulics, diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems, conducting thorough inspections, using diagnostic tools, keeping detailed maintenance records (parts used, labor hours), communicating status updates to supervisors and teammates, and occasional driving of company vehicles. Requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or in a team, strong problem-solving, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Travel between two office locations (Rocky Hill, CT and Haverhill, MA) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program (preferred)
- proven experience as a diesel mechanic
- strong understanding of diesel engine systems and hydraulic systems
- proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
- valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ability to travel between locations (Rocky Hill, CT and Haverhill, MA)
