Job Summary
Lead Marine seeks Journeymen level Diesel Mechanics for large slow stroke generators, offering a full-time position that requires significant marine propulsion experience. Ideal candidates will provide technical support and troubleshooting for diesel components, and will perform various engine inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of general marine propulsion and or power generation experience in operations, maintenance, repair, or inspections
- A minimum of 3 of the 5 years of experience will be in specialized marine propulsion or power generation, maintenance, & repair
- Knowledge of proper use of diagnostic equipment
- Ability to identify technical problems and solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as an engine mechanic or comparable role
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in marine applications
- Prior military expeditionary equipment maintenance experience
- A graduate of CUMMINS Insite Familiarization course and hold an Insite Qualification & Tier 3 QSB/QSC Engine Qualifications
