Job Summary

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel fuel trucks, boom trucks, and related equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues, including brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, and emissions components. Service fuel pumping and transfer equipment while reviewing Vehicle Condition Reports to complete all required maintenance and repairs timely. Accurately document inspections, maintenance, and parts usage per company procedures, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to resolve issues, communicating effectively with supervisors and operations personnel regarding equipment status and schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience servicing and repairing air brake and/or hydraulic brake systems
  • Ability to safely use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment to perform maintenance and repairs
  • Basic personal mechanic's tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to accurately complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and other required documentation

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL within a company-established timeframe after hire
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
