Job Summary
The Diesel Mechanic at A & M Composting is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel trucks and associated equipment to maximize utilization. Key responsibilities include performing regular preventive maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, conducting repairs to meet DOT standards, and maintaining service records. Candidates should have a valid driver's license, their own tools, and be capable of handling physical work under various conditions. The role may require limited driving of service vehicles for on-road repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable and dependable
- Own set of basic mechanics hand tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to accept night and/or weekend emergency service calls
Desired Qualifications
- CDL license
- State inspection license
