Job Summary
Journeyman Diesel Mechanic position in Bismarck, ND at Interstate/I-State Truck Center. Diagnoses and repairs heavy-duty diesel trucks, performs preventive maintenance, welding, and documentation; requires 2–5 years of diesel experience and a valid driver's license. CDL preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and/or equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Heavy Duty Truck certifications (T2–T8) or manufacturer certifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) strongly preferred
- Experience with heavy-duty trucks and diagnostic tools (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link)
