Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty diesel trucks and/or equipment; perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, inspections, etc.); repair/replace major components including engines, transmissions, turbos, and differentials; use diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, OEM tools); complete service documentation for repairs, parts, and compliance; communicate repairs and recommendations to customers and internal teams; follow all safety standards (OSHA, DOT, company protocols); maintain tools and equipment for daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years working on diesel trucks or heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Experience with OEM diagnostic tools preferred
- Basic welding/fabrication a plus
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Bonus Points: Diesel tech certification or ASE (T2–T8)
- Experience with Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, or Mack
