Job Summary
Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle maintenance, including brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspension, and drive train repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections to ensure school buses remain safe for passengers. Complete work orders accurately and assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed. Maintain a valid driver's license and CDL Class B, with company-paid training provided. Work Monday through Friday during the first shift with consistent, year-round availability.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience
- Vehicle diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
- Possession of a mechanic's tool set
- Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program
- Strong computer skills
- English proficiency
