Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty diesel trucks using advanced diagnostics like Cummins Insite and Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link. Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and lubrication while repairing major components such as engines, transmissions, and turbos. Complete work orders and documentation for warranty and compliance, then communicate repair recommendations to customers. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while lifting up to 75 lbs in shop and outdoor conditions. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with trucks like Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, or Mack
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license
- CDL
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Work in shop and outdoor conditions
- Perform physically active tasks throughout the shift
Desired Qualifications
- Basic welding/fabrication skills
- Diesel tech certification or ASE (T2-T8)
- Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Isuzu Truck, Battle Motors, and Fruehauf Trailers
