Job Summary
Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies while receiving direction from the shop foreman on daily tasks. Read job orders, observe equipment operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures. Assist in the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance for various equipment and vehicles, ensuring state inspection requirements are met for cars, trucks, and trailers. Apply classroom techniques to regularly scheduled maintenance and repair activities. Work an abbreviated 2nd shift schedule in a loud environment, occasionally working outdoors in all conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in an accredited technical high school or technical high school program in auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, or related field
- Basic math and communication skills
- Able and willing to work an abbreviated 2nd shift schedule
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
