Job Summary
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on petroleum fleet vehicles and heavy haul equipment, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on diesel engines. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems and air brake systems, utilizing multi-meters and electronic devices to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct occasional gas engine repairs on company pickup trucks and work from a service truck in the field when required. Inspect trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation and compliance, documenting repairs and communicating maintenance needs with management while following all safety procedures and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with diesel engines
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems
- Experience working with air brake systems
- Previous service truck experience
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with fuel tanker overfill systems
- Welding experience
