Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles and analyze results to identify faults. Repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking, and lighting system components. Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks, test drive vehicles to gauge performance, and maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles. Adhere to inspection procedure checklists and manage parts inventory while ensuring shop cleanliness. Maintain a valid driver's license and physical fitness to lift up to 150 pounds. ASE Diesel Certification is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Aptitude for mathematics and science
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Good IT and diagnostic skills
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good organization skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
