Job Summary

Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy-duty diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized waste/recycling equipment. Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on heavy diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles. Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner system to ensure parts are procured, while accurately completing daily reports, work orders, and parts orders. Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local safety policies. Collaborate with experienced technicians, review mechanical write-ups, and assist in training new team members. Maintain personal hand and power tools in a clean, organized work area. Shift options include 4am-2pm or 145pm-12am Monday through Friday with overtime after 40 hours. Starting pay ranges from $27-$40/hr, increasing based on experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to be trained on specialized software systems
  • Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work in loud noise, moving mechanical parts, vibration, hot/cold weather conditions, and toxic or caustic chemicals/fumes
  • Ability to work in high, precarious places

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or degree in diesel mechanics
