Job Summary
Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks, equipment, and rolling stock. Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles while completing reports, work orders, and administrative duties. Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner, procure parts, and coordinate repair schedules. Utilize power and hand tools to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all regulations. Assist in training new employees and maintain a clean work area. This boots-on-the-ground position requires a high school diploma, one year of diesel mechanic experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- technical diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic
- Must be computer literate
- Must have the ability to be trained on software systems
- Must have the willingness to learn
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
