Job Summary
Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy-duty diesel trucks, including rolling stock, while planning and scheduling repairs using the M5 planner. Procure necessary parts, complete daily reports and work orders, and coordinate repair schedules to ensure all equipment operates safely. Maintain safe working conditions by complying with federal, state, and local laws, and assist in training new employees. Maintain working knowledge of the latest technology through technical manuals and seminars. This role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of diesel mechanic experience and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a diesel mechanic
- Must meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to company standards
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Must possess, provide, and maintain the tools necessary for heavy/hydraulic equipment maintenance
- Must be computer literate and willing to be trained on new software systems
- Ability to understand and use repair and parts manuals written in English
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date
