Job Summary
Train and supervise mechanics and maintenance staff while performing repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of modern motor coach bus engines and transmissions. Execute reconditioning, preventative maintenance, inspections, and road tests, documenting warranty and repair details. Diagnose, inspect, install, disassembly, and clean components including diesel engines, electronic systems, drive lines, brakes, steering, and HVAC systems. Respond to road calls and perform general welding and fabrication tasks. Requires 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance experience, supervisory background, and proficiency with diagnostic devices like DDEC readers and welding equipment. Full-time 2nd shift position with a $35.00-$39.00 hourly rate and $2500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
- Must have supervisory experience
- Minimum personal tool value $5000
- Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, pullers, VOA instruments, reamers, vacuum and compression pumps, welding equipment, and testing instruments
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- 2nd shift
Desired Qualifications
- CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable
