Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for Ecology Auto Parts, in the Fleet & Maintenance Department, based at the Bloomington Shop in Bloomington, CA. You will diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, inspect electrical/hydraulic/suspension/brake systems, interpret failure modes with vehicle computer electronics, estimate time/material costs, conduct emergency service calls, perform annual safety checks, complete paperwork in fleet maintenance software, and assist other mechanics. Must have strong safety compliance, ability to read technical manuals/specs, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work independently or in a team; HS diploma/equivalent required, with preferred automotive technology certification and 3 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Certification or diploma in automotive technology or a related field is preferred
