Job Summary
Maintain and repair school buses by diagnosing and performing all phases of vehicle maintenance, including brake repairs, engine tune-ups, suspension, and drive train work. Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections while ensuring vehicles remain safe for passengers. Complete work orders accurately and assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed. This full-time day shift role offers consistent year-round work with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Join a close-knit team supporting over 5.4 million student journeys daily.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1+ years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience
- Vehicle diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
- Possession of a mechanic's tool set
- Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program
- Strong computer skills
- Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee
- DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 compliance (no Schedule I drugs, including marijuana)
