Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles, performing skilled work on automotive, medium, and heavy-duty trucks including all Fire Division and Rescue vehicles. Maintain small gas engines and associated equipment while adhering to up-to-date methods for autos and emergency vehicles. Requires a valid Class CDL B with Air Brakes, knowledge of diesel engines, and a self-starter attitude. Full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 3:30, with a starting rate of $20-35 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Self-starter with positive can-do attitude
- Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred
- Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred
- ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus
