Job Summary
Mid-level Fleet Maintenance Mechanic (Level 2 Technician) responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, trailers, and refrigeration units. Tasks include inspecting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural components; addressing braking and suspension systems; installing/replacing aftermarket parts (e.g., liftgates, reefer units); basic paint application in a controlled booth; performing preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and HVAC systems; ensuring DOT safety compliance and accurate reporting. Requires CDL and inspection license; overnight shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am; located in Harrisburg, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a technical program or vocational school training in diesel mechanics or the equivalent of 2-5 years of experience in diesel mechanics
- Current, valid CDL
- Valid inspection license and ability to perform Level 1 and Level 2 DOT inspections
