Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) at United Rentals seeks a skilled technician to maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment. Role involves working with limited supervision, possibly traveling to customer job sites, assisting in training lower level technicians, maintaining thorough paperwork/work orders, and supporting equipment pickup/delivery. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of construction equipment, ability to interpret schematics, and excellent customer service and communication. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and operate as part of a safety-sensitive team.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
