Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel motor coaches, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues while developing effective solutions. Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and regular servicing in compliance with DOT regulations and manufacturer specifications. Keep accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used and time spent. Maintain a clean shop environment and communicate with drivers and management to ensure efficient fleet operations. Requires at least two years of diesel mechanic experience and knowledge of diesel systems. Full-time position with competitive compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
