Job Summary
Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel garbage trucks and equipment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Inspect vehicles to identify safety concerns and ensure DOT compliance, while completing accurate maintenance and repair records for all fleet vehicles. Communicate repair status and findings with dispatch and operations teams, working in a team environment to ensure fleet uptime and superior service. Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with additional hours possible.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of diesel maintenance experience
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical issues
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
