Job Summary
Utilize OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, and technical resources to identify root cause failures and complete accurate repairs on diesel engines, electronic controls, and emissions systems. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential equipment concerns before failure occurs, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain issues. Maintain compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations while accurately documenting diagnostics, labor, and parts usage. Support shop operations by assisting and mentoring junior technicians. Requires minimum 5 years of hands-on experience, familiarity with wiring diagrams, and ability to read and interpret technical documentation. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. Shift is Mon-Fri 6am-2:30am.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a diesel technician
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software, electronic troubleshooting systems, and scan tools
- Must provide own basic hand tools
- Experience diagnosing and repairing aftertreatment systems including DPF, DEF, and SCR
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting background
- Valid driver's license required
- Experience working with diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, PACCAR, or equivalent
- Experience performing repairs on engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and related heavy-duty systems
