Job Summary
Diagnose, adjust, and repair diesel and non-diesel engines on tractors, trailers, generators, and other fleet equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on pneumatic, live bottoms, belly dumps, flatbeds, and tanker trailers while inspecting structural integrity and safety issues. Disassemble, clean, remove, and replace defective parts, then reassemble and adjust components to specified performance standards. Input data into maintenance software, operate pick-up trucks and forklifts, and assist with service calls and general maintenance duties. Commit to working safely at all times, adhering to OSHA/EPA requirements, and wearing required PPE. Day shift Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm. Hourly pay of $20.00 to $26.00 DOE plus quarterly safety bonus, tool allowance, and boot reimbursement. Valid driver's license and one year of experience with diesel or heavy equipment preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver License
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must have your own set of requisite tools and toolbox
- No more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
- No major violations within the previous 5 years
- Successful respirator physical, and respirator fit test
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose & repair
- Tire & service experience
- Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes
- Authorized access to mine sites
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 50 pounds
- This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, grip, speak, hear, see, climb and/or balance, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat or crawl, use legs, and feet
- This position requires constant climbing of stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground, and bending over
- This position is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic and/or caustic chemicals or substances, extreme weather conditions, vibration, and equipment under pressure
- The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risks of electrical shock
- The noise level is usually very loud
- Must be able to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy
- Work well with others

- Work varying hours and schedules
- Work overtime, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year of Experience with diesel or heavy equipment preferred; Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training period
