Job Summary

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related issues on medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and lubrication. Repair diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, suspension systems, steering, brakes, and driveline components. Operate diagnostic scan tools to interpret fault codes and repair fuel, cooling, exhaust, and emission control systems. Conduct DOT inspections to ensure vehicles meet federal and state safety regulations. Complete work orders accurately, maintain detailed service records, and communicate repair recommendations with service advisors. Respond to emergency roadside or on-site service calls when required while following all OSHA and company safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems efficiently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Qualifications

  • ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
  • Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar, Caterpillar, International, Volvo, or Mack engines
  • Experience using OEM diagnostic software
  • Welding and fabrication experience
