Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units, including inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings. Diagnose basic failures, repair standard components, and install or replace onboard computers. Complete thorough documentation for all work orders and parts usage through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Ensure equipment maintains required licensing and registration before road use. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools. Perform road call services as needed. Work a four-day week with rotating shifts from 5:30 pm to 5:30 am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
