Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and root cause analysis on medium to heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. Diagnose failures, replace parts, and ensure all equipment maintains proper licensing and registration for roadworthiness. Complete thorough documentation of work orders and parts usage through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Conduct routine inspections of brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, while performing tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and electrical troubleshooting using hand and power tools. Road call services are performed as needed. This role supports the essential work of America's food distribution system within a safe, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
