Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, including root cause analysis and repairs for fleet diesel equipment. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, while installing, replacing, and repairing onboard computers. Execute routine tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools. Complete thorough documentation for all work orders and parts usage through the Enterprise Asset Management system. Ensure all equipment maintains required licensing and registration before road use. Work a 4-day week with rotating shifts from late night through early morning. Join a team supporting America's food distribution system, providing essential maintenance for restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, and schools.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available for road call services as needed
