Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, including inspections, repairs, and root cause analysis of basic failures. Diagnose electrical systems, install onboard computers, and inspect brake, steering, and wheel bearing components. Execute routine tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools. Complete thorough documentation for all work orders and parts usage in the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Ensure equipment maintains required licensing and registration before road use. Perform road call services as needed. Requires 2+ years of heavy-duty vehicle repair experience with A/C refrigeration and computerized diagnostics skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
