Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units, including diagnosing root causes of failures and installing onboard computers. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, then complete thorough documentation of all work orders in the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment using hand, pneumatic, and precision tools. Ensure all equipment has required licensing and registration before being deemed roadworthy. Road call services are required as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
