Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units while ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. Diagnose basic failures, repair standard components, and install or replace onboard computers. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, then document all work orders and parts usage in the Enterprise Asset Management system. Conduct routine tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools. Perform road call services as needed to support the food distribution system.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
