Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, including root cause analysis, repairs, and component inspections. Diagnose basic failures, install onboard computers, and service brake, steering, and wheel systems using hand and power tools. Complete thorough documentation for all work orders and parts usage through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Ensure equipment maintains required licensing and registration before road deployment. Perform road call services as needed while adhering to State and Federal trucking regulations. Work a four-day week with rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
