Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units, including installing onboard computers and inspecting brake and steering systems. Execute repairs for minor failures, change oil, check batteries, and utilize hand and power tools for equipment upkeep. Ensure all fleet equipment maintains required licensing and registration before road use, then document all work orders and parts usage in the Enterprise Asset Management system. Perform road call services as needed to support essential food distribution operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration
