Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic to service, diagnose, and repair Class A diesel trucks and trailers. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel tractors and trailers, diagnosing engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and air systems, ensuring DOT and safety compliance, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and performing roadside or field repairs. Requires 5+ years of diesel-mechanic experience on Class A vehicles; CDL Class A preferred. On-site shop in Houston with field support; occasional travel to nearby regions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on Class A commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and trailer systems
- Experience with 10, 13, and 18-speed manual transmissions
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Familiarity with DOT inspection and compliance standards
- Valid driver's license
