Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic systems, and engine work. Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and perform line maintenance welding and fabrication. Conduct preventative maintenance on-site and provide road service to ensure equipment returns to operation safely. Complete applicable company training programs and follow strong career paths for professional growth. Work a regular shift supporting drivers on routes while maintaining intricate machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair
- Graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (T1-T8)
- Commercial Driver's License
