Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, including fluid services, brake inspections, and scheduled upkeep. Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical issues before they become major problems. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and air brake systems while working with field personnel to troubleshoot failures and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service records documenting repairs, parts, and labor. Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations while keeping work areas clean and organized. Requires previous experience repairing diesel engines and heavy construction equipment, working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, and ability to lift heavy components in outdoor conditions.
