Job Summary
Diesel Technician at Allegiance Trucks. Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services; read Repair Orders and perform general/detailed repair of trucks, engines and components; install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, batteries, transmissions and other parts; inspect safety devices, lubricate moving parts, drive to verify conformance, and advise Service staff if additional repairs are needed; maintain a neat, safe work environment and follow safety procedures; participate in other projects as assigned. Qualifications include 1-2 years minimum experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician, valid driver’s license, full tool set, and completion of diesel/auto certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience; high school diploma or GED required, with vocational/technical certification preferred; CDL and renewal costs may be covered. Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician
- Valid driver’s license
- Must possess a full set of personal hand tools
- Must have completed diesel/ automotive certificate programs in repairs and service, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED, Vocational or Technical certification in vehicle repair is preferred
