Job Summary
Diagnose and repair Diesel and CNG vehicles, including engines, electrical systems, and fuel components, while independently leading inspections of brakes, emissions, and steering mechanisms. Prioritize repairs to maximize efficiency, oversee mechanical write-ups, and coordinate repair schedules. Mentor level B and C mechanics, perform DOT and brake inspections, and complete daily administrative reports. Maintain a clean work area and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Requires 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience, ASE certifications, and a Class A or B CDL.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations
- Must have a Brake safety certificate
- 609 A/C system certification
- Ability to understand and interpret detailed schematics and manuals
- Communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Experience using diagnostic software
- Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment
- 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance
- Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to operate trucks and other equipment used as needed
- Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation
- Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above shoulders and lift to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
