Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, steering, suspension, and braking systems. Perform computer diagnostics and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Handle preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service work. Repair and maintain air brake systems. Create repair plans and accurately document completed work. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Work closely with other technicians and shop personnel to keep jobs moving.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working on diesel trucks, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, tow trucks, or similar equipment
- Diesel training, certifications, or trade school education are a plus
- CDL is helpful but not required
