Job Summary
Maintain and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, trucks, and refuse bodies, focusing on chassis components, hydraulic electrical systems, air brakes, and engine work. Perform preventative maintenance, line maintenance welding, and fabrication while diagnosing malfunctions using electronic tools. Conduct tire work including replacement, rotation, and tread checks, and safely provide road service to return equipment to operation. Complete applicable company training programs and work a regular shift supporting drivers on their routes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues
- Consistently demonstrate technical expertise
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair
- Graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months
- Valid Driver's License

- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (T1-T8)
