Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel equipment and CNG trucks while performing safety checks and responding to emergency service calls. Estimate time and material costs, complete required paperwork for parts usage and repair times, and assist senior mechanics on project work. Review and assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, maintaining a clean work area compliant with OSHA standards. Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times across a repair shop environment, often involving physical lifting, standing, and exposure to weather extremes. Complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical, and work a Monday-Friday 4-day schedule with occasional Saturday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers license
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
