Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Estimate time and material costs, perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times, and respond to emergency service calls. Conduct safety checks, complete required paperwork, and assist senior mechanics on project work. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards. Work Monday through Friday, third shift (6pm to 4am), in a repair shop in Ft Worth, Tx. You must have two years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and be over 18. This role supports WM's fleet of over 20 million customers across the USA, including growing CNG truck operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing
- Constantly standing, walking, and grasping
- Occasionally: sitting and balancing
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA‐approved alternative
